1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CICosts ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.
2. Description of Service
CICosts is a CI/CD cost tracking and analytics platform that:
- Connects to your GitHub account via OAuth
- Collects workflow run metadata from GitHub Actions
- Calculates estimated costs based on GitHub's published pricing
- Provides dashboards, alerts, and analytics
3. Account Registration
To use CICosts, you must:
- Have a valid GitHub account
- Authorize CICosts to access your GitHub account
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscription and Billing
4.1 Free Tier
CICosts offers a free tier with limited features. The free tier may be subject to usage limits and feature restrictions.
4.2 Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
4.3 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service excessively
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
- Violate GitHub's Terms of Service
6. GitHub Integration
CICosts integrates with GitHub through their official API. By using CICosts, you also agree to comply with GitHub's Terms of Service.
You must have appropriate permissions to connect organizations and repositories to CICosts. You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to share data with CICosts.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of CICosts is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You retain ownership of your data. We access and store your GitHub Actions metadata solely to provide the Service.
8. Cost Calculations
Important: Cost calculations provided by CICosts are estimates based on GitHub's published pricing and workflow metadata. Actual billing from GitHub may differ.
CICosts is not responsible for discrepancies between estimated and actual costs. Always refer to your official GitHub billing for authoritative cost information.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by CICosts and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy of cost estimates.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CICOSTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to CICosts in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CICosts, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with notice.
You may terminate your account at any time by disconnecting your GitHub account and contacting us to delete your data.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CICosts operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
